wow. i didn't know people actually read this stupid blog!
im sorry to anyone that i have offended, i really didn't have any bad intentions.
i will try to create a most peaceful, drama-free, (dry and boring and not-really-me) blog

twothousand&11
i would like to cover 3 things in this blog post:
1) new year's resolution
2) key to happiness
3) what happened that elevated my happiness levels
i have decided my new year's resolution is to make as many friends as possible. usually my goals are a little far fetched and can't be achieved for months and months. i can do this daily right? i can't believe that i am done with half of my senior year. i want to be kind to everyone, and when i come to school in the morning, instead of trying to fall asleep in all my boring classes.. come to school with a bounce in my step and try and make other people's days better. i want to make the most out of the last couple months i have at bountiful high.
number 2. i have noticed a major difference in people's lives that are happy vs. miserable. one word... SERVICE. there is definitely a reward that comes when you put other before yourself and focusing on someone else's happiness instead of worrying about your own. i look at some of my friends that are not happy with their life right now, and one day it hit me.. they don't understand the blessings that come from serving others. to be able to step back, even in your hardest times, and try and make someone happy is one of the greatest feelings in the world. the key to happiness is to forget about yourself, and stop trying to make yourself happy. kind of odd, but how you find happiness is not looking for it in multiple worldly ways, but simply giving it to others.
that's all! i'll be a better blogger, i promise.

december update
i have been such a bad blogger! so much has happened, and that's prob why i haven't taken the time to update my blog. i'll do a quick run through the important things...
CHRISTMAS DANCE! best dance so far! i decided to join to drill team group since most of my friends are on the team. for our 'day activity' david, max and i went to watch the mandonelles at their competition. it was seriously the hardest day for me.. i obviously couldn't act like it, but when the girls went on the floor to do their military routine, i had to keep blinking to hold back tears. i miss it so so so so much. competition was my favorite time of year, and i wanted to be out there so badly. there is no other way you can get the feeling of hitting your routine with your team around you while you school is cheering you on. :(
moving on from the pity party, i had a great time! i was very surprised that david would want to go with me, but i feel like he had an okay time.. for the first time i felt like it wasn't oober awkward to talk to him, and something clicked. such a relief!
afterwards, katelyn and i got ready for the dance.. she seriously took like three hours to get ready and i even did her make up for her haha. its ok, love her anyways. we went to get our boys, (lookin reaaally nice!) and went to eat dinner that was catered at the grand ballroom. i had to drive to the dance, and of course i got lost looking for the fairgrounds, but the dance was fun! only downer was that there was only one slow dance..
we left early and went to flips! the girls kinda let the boys do their own thing while we sat and ate and watched haha. david and eric were absolutely hilarious. i have never seen 18 year old boys act so childish running around on toy horses and building forts. after we watched.. uhm.. jingle all the way? i believe. i was exhausted, and luckily dave let me cuddle right in and fall asleep on him. it was great.
oh, and NO we didn't kiss!!!!!
the night before my bday, i went on a group "date" with david. however i didn't know it was a date until david and joel were on my doorstep.. just a babe awkward.. however it was a lot of fun! we went to see tangled at the gateway with joel and grace, monson and ryann, richard and chelsea, jp and crista and dan and mccall. ps grace and joel were the cutest things ive ever seen! they were just perfect for each other, and didn't stop talking in the back seat the entire time. i can hear the bells! (:
david is an awesome guy, but i see him just as a friend.. the 'football guys' are the most ridiculous group of teenagers i have ever seen, and worse than any girls i know! there are no secrets.. there is nothing we do that is on our own, and infinite rumors, twisted stories and teasing galore. obviously sometimes the things they say are hilarious, i just wish that david knew the truth, and we could talk without it being broadcasted across the school.
18TH BIRTHDAY! yayee! i definitely feel like a new weight has been put on my shoulders with the new "adult" title. i was afraid my birthday would be rough because it was on a sunday, however it was the best yet! at church, we skipped the lesson and had a nice brunch and read christmas stories. after church i got to skip my BYC and state youth council meetings, (WOO!) and go to my grandmothers for a delicious spaghetti dinner. grace, the best friend in the world, who without fail gives me the cutest thought out gifts in the world, brought me a quote book that she made. i loved it. then i went to jessica luker's house, (who shares the same birthday as me) and hung out with friends and had plenty of cake. also, to top it off, i felt so stinkin popular by my abundance of wall posts on facebook (:

oh david..
see the resemblance?
..neither do i... however i do not mind. poor thavid's body is all over the internet. i have never met a boy so shy in my life. i don't understand how he can be so reserved and then take wet t-shirt pics and post em on facebook. oh well, i'm sure little girls are glued to their computer screens as we speak.

dang, what happened to finding neverland?
i remember in junior high, carly poth and i would promise each other that before we turned 18, we would find neverland. crap, my birthday is in less than 2 weeks! running out of time!
i don't want to grow up! but i guess it's just one of those things that is unavoidable. (so i've heard)
today we did our senior project presentations. i remember looking up to those big, bad, awesome seniors and just wishing for the day when i could date all the hot football players and wear a princess dress to prom... oh wait i'm that old, but i just don't feel like a senior! still! it's 2nd term and reality still hasn't set in.
it was so strange to see all of my peers get up and talk about a career they were interested in, and realize we are talking about these things because in a few months we have to decide what we want to "be when we grow up" and go away to college
also, priority deadline for most colleges was today for admissions. i also thought today would never come, and spent the whole day frantically trying to get everything finished. i applied for utah state, byu, u of u, tulane, embry riddle, oregon, oregon state, colorado school of mines, and chicago. yes, a lot of schools but i want to have options! i really would love to go away, but honestly i don't know where i would find $50,00 a year to pay for out of state tuition.
by the way, i love my life! i have the best friends on the planet, i love school, i love my family, my brothers are the coolest teenagers in the world and life is really going my way right now
big smile :)

new motto
DON'T CHASE THEM, REPLACE THEM
which is, in fact, exactly what i plan on doing.
i've decided the only way to truly get over someone is to find someone you care about more
it's tough, it really is... i loved him for a very long time. and freak, change is scary! but also exciting! im looking forward to the doors that have now been opened for me. it's going to take a while, but whenever i have my doubts, i just turn on 500 days of summer. love, and hate that movie. love it because it has a rockin soundtrack. hate it because it describes my relationship perfectly! it is unlike every other romantic movie out there. it is REAL. yeah in real life, couples don't always meet in the perfect coffee shop, snuggle up by the fire together, get married and live happily ever after. WEIRD! i feel like our society has almost been brainwashed into what a relationship should be.. or the perfect guy. DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED WITH DANG TWILIGHT.
anyways, yes, life will move on. and i am looking forward to college so much i can't stand it! whole new pool of boys!(: woo woot!
it's no problem!
kellie anne carlson and i tend to bring out the 12 year olds in each other. i have seriously missed her so much since she moved to california. we have driven around wearing masks and turbans doing dances, and the kinda sad part is, i love every second of it!
on tuesday, november 23, bountiful utah was suppose to have the biggest blizzard in 7 years... yeaaah we got snow, but nothing unusual! basically the whole city shut down, so we decided to make a video while we were stuck together (:
ps if you don't laugh, im sorry, i think it's hilarious!
